After spending 10 years working in neuroscience research labs, Dr. Jenni realized something was missing in her professional life. She left her science career behind to pursue her passion, a career in fitness, as a Triathlon Coach and Personal Trainer.
Dr. Jenni started her coaching business as owner and head coach of Train with Dr. Jenni. She also worked as a personal trainer for Spare Time Clubs. After a few years, she moved into a management position in the sports club but soon discovered it did not fulfill her goal of helping others change their life. She also realized that the stress of this management position negatively impacted her own health. Not only did she want to get herself back on track, she wanted to help others take a big-picture approach to health and wellness.
This is where she discovered health coaching, where she could combine her expertise as a scientist, trainer, former professional triathlete, and triathlon coach, with her own life experience, to guide people through lifestyle changes.
Dr. Jenni uses a mind-body approach to examine health and wellness, focusing on the many factors influencing total health and wellness and strongly encouraging nature therapy as part of this process.
Her programs focus on your daily diet, movement, stress management, and mindset with a completely individualized and flexible plan which evolves based on YOUR needs.
Dr. Jenni understands the importance of being in nature as a training and mental health tool. Her workouts along the American River Parkway near her office are both energizing and calming. I trust Dr. Jenni to push me safely so I don’t get hurt as I’m getting stronger. 100% recommend her!
The personal training with Jenni is amazing! We did a workout on the bike trail and it was so enjoyable to workout outside. I learned a lot of new exercises and proper technique. She gave me a tracking sheet and sent me more information on each exercise so I can continue to do it on my own. I highly recommend Jenni for personal training.
